Stolen HVAC Compressor – Streets Update

Hello neighbors.

I hope this email finds you and your family well.

Stolen HVAC Compressor

Unfortunately, I have to report that a neighbor’s HVAC compressor was stolen sometime after December 24, 2022. Since the furnace does not require the compressor to produce heat, the theft went unnoticed until a scheduled maintenance earlier this month.

Please  check to make sure you still have yours. Call the police non-emergency number (317) 327-3811 If it has been stolen to file a report. You will need the report for your home insurance to replace it.

Also,  please let me know if it’s been stolen. Like to keep that information for our records.

Street update

I’m waiting to hear back from this city.

The city engineers estimate last summer to repair the areas that we identified for the Indy Neighborhood Infrastructure Partnership (INIP) double the estimate in our submission. Our part covered 5 areas and our half was estimated at $15,000. Due to inflation, our half would increase to $30,000.

We only had $19,000 in savings and could not afford to cove the increase. I asked if reducing the areas to just two or three would bring back to under $15,000. The liaison was to get back to me. The HOA has not given the city our 15,000.

Masters Road is supposed to be worked on this spring and summer. I’m also trying to get the city and our city counselor to repair the bad areas while they’re right there at no cost of the HOA. I think after almost 50 years, they can do that for us.

in the meantime, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I would like for us to report every pothole and area of breakdown to the city. We can easily do this using the mayor’s action website And “RequestIndy” phone application.

The website is: https://www.indy.gov/activity/pothole-repair Click the green button On the right, “Let’s get started.” Input the address of the nearest location then answer the questions. You can submit a picture by clicking the Box that says upload picture.

Thanks everyone in advance for your help.

Take care,

Ryan Kruse
